Oldham DAAT has been working to ensure that individuals affected by their own substance use have better access to effective treatment to overcome problems and live healthy and crime free lives. Support includes:

24Hr Freephone Helpline
This free phone confidential helpline is available to individuals affected by their own substance misuse or the substance misuse of others.

Development Worker
This post provides support to service users on a one to one basis and also helps service user groups to develop the skills and confidence necessary to take a full and active part in service development.

Email Enquiries
Send a confidential email enquiry to a member of the Oldham Drug and Alcohol Action Team, who will endeavour to respond to your enquiry within 24 hours.

Local Service Directory
This service directory outlines the wide range of treatment options on offer in Oldham. The directory has been produced for drug users, their families and friends, as well as for tier 1- 4 professionals.

Needle Exchanges
Needle Exchanges are places where injecting drug users can obtain free sterile injecting equipment (works) without too many awkward questions being asked. Users are encouraged to return their used injecting equipment within their personal 'sharps' containers for safe disposal, to ensure that they aren't going to cause a problem in the community and lead to someone being injured/ infected.
