Bluetooth used to combat drugs
Oldham police and drugs services are using Bluetooth technology to gather information about drug dealers during 'Tackling Drugs, Changing Lives week' (19-24 May) to disrupt the supply of drugs in the area.
DAAT clients knockout their competition
A group of service users and volunteers from Oldham’s drugs and alcohol services competed against other teams from DAATs across Greater Manchester in an ‘It’s a Knockout’ competition last week.

Oasis@Connexions
Oasis@Connexions provides a service for parents/carers of young people under 19 who may be using/misusing drugs and alcohol. The service also supports young people who have a significant person in their life who is using or misusing substances.

Needle Exchanges
Needle Exchanges are places where injecting drug users can obtain free sterile injecting equipment (works) without too many awkward questions being asked. Users are encouraged to return their used injecting equipment within their personal 'sharps' containers for safe disposal, to ensure that they aren't going to cause a problem in the community and lead to someone being injured/ infected.
